Accommodation in Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival
Accommodation in Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival is sometimes difficult to find and can be expensive. We offer host family accommodation in Edinburgh, giving our students the opportunity to stay with local people and practise their English in a home environment. The host family provide breakfast and an evening meal each day.
Edinburgh host family accommodation: where are the host families located?
Our host families are located throughout the city. Most of our students will need to take a bus to school. Edinburgh has an excellent public transport system and you can purchase a weekly bus pass.
Eating in Edinburgh: What food is included?
Your host family in Edinburgh will provide a breakfast and evening meal each day. They normally serve a continental style breakfast, and a meal in the evening. If you require a special diet, such as vegetarian, this can usually be arranged, however, we suggest you book as early as possible.
What type of rooms in Edinburgh do you offer?
Most of our accommodation in Edinburgh is in single or twin rooms. A few host families with larger houses have tripple rooms. We normally place 2 -3 students in each host family. if you do not have a room partner, we will find one of the same gender and similar age for you!
Can I have a single room in Edinburgh?
Yes, we have some single rooms in Edinburgh available for a small supplement. Please book as soon as possible.
How old must I be to join the Edinburgh Language School ?
You must be at least 16 years of age.
Can adults join the Edinburgh Language School?
Yes, we have many adults who attend our school during the Edinburgh Festival period. Edinburgh offers a wide range of cultural and social activities for all age groups.
I do not want to take part on a language course, can you still arrange host family accommodation?
No, sorry! Our host families in Edinburgh are reserved for our language school students.
